Break Up Your Fallow Ground

Hosea 10:12 sow with a view to righteousness reap in accordance with kindness break up your fallow ground for it’s time to seek the Lord until He comes to rain righteousness on you today is a great day to seek the Lord and He will bring righteousness upon you I love these 3 things that it talks about sow in righteousness what does that mean that means you’re going to sow thoughts you’re going to sow words you’re going to sow actions today do that in righteousness as directed by the Holy Spirit the second thing reap in accordance to kindness what does that mean that means as others are kind to you you be kind to other people find people that you can intentionally be kind to today and then it says break up your fallow ground for it’s time to seek the Lord I want to concentrate on that today what does it mean to break up the fallow ground it’s obviously an agricultural example fallow ground is ground where nothing has been planted where it’s been left to sit and many times it’s gotten hardened and how do you break it up you bring a plow and you plow it you have to dig it up you have to till it with a plow nobody likes to be plowed but what God is saying here voluntarily find areas of your soul where you’ve become complacent are there areas where you’ve become complacent where something is just allowed to sit for example maybe your prayer life has just sort of degenerated and is none existant maybe you’re not reading the word of God and meditating on it very much maybe that’s an area where your life has become fallow maybe in your marriage it’s stale it’s fallow you’re just not spending time together you’re not praying together you’re not looking each other in the eyes and intimately sharing together anymore those are areas of fallow ground what does this say break it up you know what that means? it’s real simple it basically means move out of your comfort zone do things to change those areas that have become complacent begin to pray even though it’s uncomfortable it’s like using a muscle if you sit in a chair and you become sedentary you don’t use muscles it’s hard when you begin again that’s what breaking up the fallow ground is do you need to break up fallow ground in your marriage do you need to break up Fallow ground in your prayer life fallow ground in meditating on the word of God maybe there’s another area that the Lord just brought to your mind but today is the day to take action to begin to break up fallow ground press in to the Lord seek him and here’s the word of the Lord for it’s time to seek the Lord today is the day to seek the Lord to press in and to break up fallow ground so I don’t know what that means to you but I just sense that’s the word of the Lord for you today is to break up the fallow ground find the areas of complacency move out of them begin to use muscles that maybe you haven’t used for a long time begin to exercise spiritual muscles and for some of us it might actually be physical exercise maybe God is speaking to you time to go back to the gym time to begin to do some physical exercise I don’t know what your fallow ground is but I believe that’s the word for today break up your fallow ground it’s time to seek the Lord press into him so that’s my prayer for you today let’s just pray that father I pray for each one of my brothers and sisters watching today that you would identify for each one of us what is our fallow ground what is the area where we’re complacent where we need to break up that fallow ground God give me a word exactly how you want me to do that what you want me to do and I will do that Father I pray that for each one of us in the mighty name of Yeshua Amen
